Gregory Johnson, Ph.D., Chairman Mr. Johnson is a founding member and managing Director of Prolog Ventures. Some of Mr Johnson’s recent investments include Stereotaxis (NASDAQ: STXS), Akermin, EraGen, Everest, Kereos, and Singulex. Mr. Johnson has more than 25 years of experience managing venture capital funds and corporate venture capital investment programs. He currently focuses on opportunities in molecular diagnostics, imaging and image- guided procedures, and industrial biotechnology. Prior to Prolog, he spent more than a decade as a general partner of the venture firm Gateway Associates, which he joined after managing an $80 million portfolio of Monsanto’s corporate venture capital investments. Mr. Johnson holds a doctorate in physics from the University of Rochester and a bachelor's degree from MIT. |

Ajit Shah, Ph.D., Vice Chairman Dr. Shah brings over 24 years of experience as an entrepreneur, operating executive and venture capitalist. While working at SRI International, Dr. Shah’s lab created the technology that was licensed and is now known today as the daVinci Surgical Robot by Intuitive Surgical, Inc. (NASDAQ:ISRG). Ajit was also a co-founder of Epicor, a HIFU cardiac ablation technology company focused on Atrial Fibrillation that sold to St. Jude Medical (NYSE:STJ). Dr. Shah also ran business development for Heartport, Inc. (NASDAQ:HPRT). During his tenure as a Venture Capitalist, Ajit served as General Partner for Worldview Capital Partners with over $1Billion under management. Ajit received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from UC-Berkeley, his Masters in Electrical Engineering from Stanford, and a Ph.D. from UC-San Francisco Medical School in collaboration with UC-Berkeley. |

Frank A. Bonsal, Jr., Director Mr. Bonsal is a founding member of Red Abbey Private Equity. Prior to Red Abbey, Mr. Bonsal was a founding partner of New Enterprise Associates (NEA), one of the country’s largest venture capital firms. Mr. Bonsal served on the Board of Directors of a number of life sciences companies, including Aspect Medical Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: ASPM), Biopure Corporation (NASDAQ: BPUR), Cantab Pharmaceuticals PLC (acquired by Xenova Group PLC), GeneScreen, Inc. (acquired by Orchid Biosciences, Inc.), IBAH, Inc. (acquired by Omnicare, Inc.), Molecular Tool, Inc. (acquired by Orchid Biosciences, Inc.), Synaptic Pharmaceuticals Corporation (acquired by H. Lundbeck A/S), and Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: VRTX). Additionally, Mr. Bonsal played an active role in a number of life sciences investments, including Alkermes, Inc. (NASDAQ: ALKS), Anadys Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Bethesda Research Laboratories, Inc. (acquired by Life Technologies, Inc.), Dura Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (acquired by Elan Corporation), GelTex Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (acquired by Genzyme General), Genetic Therapy, Inc. (acquired by Sandoz), Pyxis Corporation (acquired by Cardinal Health, Inc.), and Sepracor, Inc. (NASDAQ: SEPR). Mr. Bonsal is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Johns Hopkins Hospital and a member of the Johns Hopkins Hospital Endowment Board. Also, Mr. Bonsal was a General Partner of Alex. Brown & Sons, Inc. Mr. Bonsal received a BA in Economics from Princeton University in 1959. |

J. Robert Paulson, Jr., Director J. Robert Paulson, Jr. served as President, CEO and Director of Restore Medical from 2005 until the company’s acquisition by Medtronic in July of 2008. During 2002 - 2005, Bob was CFO and VP of Marketing for Endocardial Solutions when the company was acquired by St. Jude Medical. Previously, Bob was Sr. VP/General Manager of Advanced Bionics, and held several positions with Medtronic, including VP/General Manager of the Surgical Navigation business, VP Corporate Strategy, and Director Corporate Development. Bob also held various marketing, corporate development, legal and financial positions at General Mills, and prior to that practiced corporate, M&A and securities law with the Minneapolis firm of Lindquist & Vennum. Mr. Paulson received a B.A., cum laude, in Accounting, Economics and Political Science from Luther College; an M.B.A. from the University of St. Thomas and his J.D. from the Vanderbilt University School of Law. Mr. Paulson currently serves as Chair of the Sister Kenny Institute Foundation, and as a director on the boards of privately-held, venture-backed, Ablation Frontiers, Inc., and Veran Medical Technologies, Inc. Mr. Paulson previously served as a director of publicly held medical device companies Vascular Solutions, Inc. and MedicalCV, Inc. |

David Adair, M.D., Director David Adair, M.D., a native of Charleston, West Virginia, is board certified in both Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Obstetrics & Gynecology. He attended Morehead State University where he graduated Cum Laude with a major in Biological Sciences in 1986 and is a member of the Morehead State Hall of Fame (2009). His medical training was at Marshall University graduating in 1990 serving as class Vice President. Dr. Adair’s postgraduate studies were in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Florida Health Science Center, Jacksonville, Florida where he completed his residency in 1994 with board certification in 1997. He completed a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Wake Forest University in 1996 and was board certified in 1999. He holds special certificates by the American Society of Hypertension as a hypertension specialist and Critical Care by the Society of Critical Care Medicine. He also had extern training at The Renal Unit of Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, MI, The Renal Unit of Mass General Hospital Boston, MA and The National Maternity Hospital, Dublin, Ireland. Dr. Adair has been a Maternal-Fetal Medicine physician in Chattanooga since 1998 and is currently founder, partner and CEO of Regional Obstetrical Consultants one of the largest Maternal-Fetal Medicine groups in the South and the largest in the state of Tennessee. He holds the rank of Professor and Vice Chair with the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, and is the Director of Women’s Services of Erlanger Hospital, Baroness Campus. He also serves as Chief Science Officer, Chairman of Board, and Founder of Glenveigh Medical, a privately held company based in Chattanooga, TN. |
